SALES SENIOR MANAGER - HYDERBAD

JOB OVERVIEW

The Automation Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the sales and growth of automation solutions for pharmaceutical/ Food & beverages / Chemical industries. This role requires deep knowledge of automation systems, the life sciences industry, and the ability to engage with clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet regulatory, production, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical sales penetration, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of developing business in a highly regulated environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Strategy Development

Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the market share of automation solutions within the Life Sciences sector. Identify target accounts, customer needs, and key market trends to maximize revenue generation.

Client Relationship Management

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including plant managers, operations heads, and engineering teams in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device sectors.

Solution Selling

Understand customer requirements, pain points, and processes to recommend the right automation solutions, including PLC, SCADA, MES, robotics, process control, and data analytics platforms. Present solutions tailored to customer needs, emphasizing ROI and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP).

Sales Cycle Management

Lead the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification through to proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals. Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and forecasting.

Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge

Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and life sciences regulations. Offer technical support to clients, collaborate with internal product teams, and deliver presentations and demonstrations of solutions to customers.

Market Intelligence

Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities. Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer feedback and market demands.

Sales Reporting & Forecasting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts. Use CRM tools to track sales progress and report to senior management on key metrics.

Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge

Ensure that all automation solutions proposed to customers meet relevant regulatory requirements, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, and other life sciences standards.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Knowledge

Preferably worked in Schneider/ Siemens/ ABB / Yokogawa / Rockwell or any of their SIs in Automation solution sales for life science industry.

Sales Skills

Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers.

Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks within the life sciences industry, such as FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 11), GxP, and cGMP.

Problem Solving

Ability to understand complex customer needs and provide customized automation solutions. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Travel

Willingness to travel frequently (as needed) to meet clients, attend trade shows, and support business development activities.
